Fiera di Genova, a trade fair & exhibition centre which can boast the unique charm of a facility born from the sea, has always developed on the sea and is now, once again, looking at the sea to grow further.
Fiera di Genova fairground extends over an area very close to the city centre and directly overlooking the sea, from which it was reclaimed in the early 1960s through far-reaching filling works. The overall project was accomplished by Luigi Carlo Daneri. The fairground's overall surface - including the multistorey pavilions, the new, recently enlarged marina, the basins and the outside yards - exceeds 300 thousand square metres. However, the most significant figures are probably the 100 thousand square-metre water surface and the 8-km-long pathways overlooking the sea, which make this centre really unique at a global level.
